Itinerary

Arrive in Lhasa, 24-hour private airport pickup, check into complimentary 4-star hotel. Acclimatize to altitude. Visit Potala Palace, Barkhor Street, Jokhang Temple.

Depart via Shigatse to Peikucuo, Shigatse's largest lake. View Shishapangma peak reflections and wild asses. Arrive in Saga.

Via colorful desert and Gongzhucuo to Mapam Yumco, one of Tibet's three sacred lakes. Arrive at kora starting point Darchen.

Begin kora from Darchen via Prayer Flag Square. Trek ~22km to Drirapuk Monastery (5210m). Overnight at homestay.

Trek over 5650m Drolma La Pass via sky burial site. ~30km total. Complete Mount Kailash kora. Return to Darchen.

Visit mysterious ghost lake Laangcuo with its deep blue waters and barren landscape. Return to Saga.
