Itinerary

Arrive in Kunming with 24-hour free airport pickup. In the morning, head to the Stone Forest World Heritage site to see its karst wonders: the Greater and Lesser Stone Forests, Sword Peak Pond, and Wangfeng Pavilion. Return to Kunming in the evening.

Drive south to the millennium-old town of Jianshui. In the afternoon, visit Chaoyang Tower, the Zhu Family Garden, and the streets of Lin'an Old Town. Dinner of grilled tofu and qigou chicken is highly recommended.

Visit the Jianshui Confucian Temple in the morning to feel the literary heritage of southern Yunnan. Head to Yuanyang in the afternoon and watch sunset over the Bada terraces as mirror-like fields reflect the sky.

Wait for sunrise over the Duoyishu terraces, watching sea clouds drift between the rice fields. Leave Yuanyang and arrive at Fuxian Lake in the evening to enjoy the sunset over the highland lake.

In the morning, stroll or cycle along Fuxian Lake with its crystal-clear water. Return to Kunming in the afternoon and transfer to the airport according to your flight. End of the East Yunnan journey.
