Itinerary

Arrive in Dali with 24-hour free airport pickup. In the afternoon, wander Dali Old Town: Wuhua Tower, Foreigner Street, and Renmin Road. At dusk, watch the sunset over Cangshan and Erhai from the lakeside eco-corridor.

Drive to Tengchong, the 'first city at the border'. In the afternoon, stroll Heshun Ancient Town: the library, laundry pavilions, and curved buildings, hearing stories of overseas Chinese and the Anti-Japanese War.

Visit the Rehai scenic area in the morning to see the Big Boiling Pot, Pearl Springs, and Frog's Mouth, with an optional natural sulfur spring bath. In the afternoon, head to Beihai Wetland to walk on floating grass and watch birds.

Visit the Volcano Geopark in the morning to view the Dashankong and Xiaoshankong craters, with an optional hot-air balloon ride. Drive to Mangshi in the afternoon and check in.

Visit the Mangwan Golden Pagoda and Silver Pagoda, overlooking Mangshi from above. In the afternoon, explore the Tree-Wrapped Pagoda and Wuyun Temple, and taste Dai hand-grabbed rice and Paoluda.

After breakfast, transfer to the airport according to your flight. Mangshi has its own airport; you may also continue to Dali or Tengchong. End of the 6-day West Yunnan journey.
