Itinerary

Arrive in Chengdu, check into 4-star hotel (Minyuan Licheng or similar), altitude ~500m. Free time — recommended: Kuanzhai Alley, Jinli, Wuhou Shrine, Fuqin Night Market. Includes: airport/station pickup, accommodation.

Depart Chengdu via Ya'an and Erlang Mountain Tunnel to Kangding. Stop at Zeduo Mountain Pass. Head to Yuzixi (altitude 4200m) for 360° views of Gongga and Yala Holy Mountains. Arrive in Xinduqiao (altitude 3300m) in the evening.

Via the 18 Bends of Heaven Road to the City in the Sky Litang. After lunch, cross Tieshang Mountain Pass to Genye Holy Mountain, Sichuan's third highest peak. Check into Tibetan homestay in Genye Town (altitude 3900m).

Early morning visit to Genye Eye for holy mountain reflections and flower sea hike. Explore Lenggu Temple (birthplace of the Gelug sect). Cross the Genye South Route. Arrive in Batang (altitude 2560m) in the evening.

Visit Cuopugou (Kham's No.1 Sacred Lake) and interact with highland naked carp. Photograph Sister Lakes, cross Haizi Mountain ancient glacier site. Traverse Maoya Grassland. Return to Xinduqiao.

Pass through Tagong Grassland. Visit Red Lake where snow mountains reflect in the water. Via Kangding, take the expressway back to Chengdu. Trip concludes.
