[~150km, 3hrs] Enjoy Tibetan village scenery, Yala Snow Mountain viewpoint. Visit Inkstone Park (ticket+shuttle 80 RMB, ~2hrs) — rent spacesuit for photos. Brief stop at Tagong Grassland. Arrive in 'Photography Paradise' Xinduqiao.

[~420km, 8hrs] Via Gao'er Mountain and Jianziwan Mountain tunnels, 18 Bends, Kazila Mountain. Pass world's highest city Litang, Maoya Grassland, Haizi Mountain. View Daocheng White Stupa. Arrive at Shangri-La Town.

Full day in Yading (ticket+shuttle 270 RMB). Long route: Luorong Pasture, Milk Sea, Five-Color Sea. Short route: Pearl Sea, Xiannairi. ~8hrs. Bring snacks. Long route may close in winter.

[~400km, 8hrs] Return to Litang for lunch. Via Maoya Grassland, Sister Lakes, cross Jinsha River Bridge (Sichuan-Tibet border), officially enter Tibet. Overnight in Batang or Markam.

[~340km, 8hrs] Via Rumei, Lancang River, over Dongda Mountain Pass (5130m), Bangda Grassland, descend the famous Nu River 72 Bends. Arrive in Baxoi.

[~220km, 5hrs] Photo stop at Ranwu Lake (alpine glacial lake). Visit Midui Glacier (ticket+shuttle 86 RMB, ~2hrs) — hike or horse ride to viewpoint. Arrive in Bome, 'Switzerland of Tibet,' surrounded by snow mountains and forests.

[~230km, 5hrs] Photo at Tongmai Bridge. Lunch at Lulang International Tourism Town — complimentary stone pot chicken. Cross Lulang Forest, Sejila Pass (Namcha Barwa views). Descend to Nyingchi.
